JobSynk is an AI-powered career management platform operated by QQ Studios LLC, located in Middleburg, FL 32068. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use JobSynk at jobsynk.qq-studios.com.
By using JobSynk, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

- Account Information — Email address, display name, and authentication credentials (managed through Firebase Authentication).
- Resume Data — Resumes you upload (PDF files) for ATS optimization and AI analysis.
- Job Tracking Data — Jobs you save, application statuses, notes, interview schedules, and networking contacts.
- API Keys — Third-party API keys you provide (e.g., for Adzuna, JSearch, Google Gemini, Groq) are stored per-user in Firestore and used solely to make requests on your behalf.
- Phone Number — Optional, provided only if you enable SMS notifications via Twilio.
- Usage Analytics — Feature usage patterns, page views, and interaction data to improve the product.
- Device and Browser Information — Browser type, operating system, screen resolution, and similar technical data.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide the Service — Power your dashboard, job tracking, application management, and career tools.
- AI Processing — Send relevant data to Google Gemini and Groq APIs to generate cover letters, optimize resumes, and provide career analysis. Only the data necessary for each request is sent.
- Job Search — Query job listing APIs (Remotive, Arbeitnow, Adzuna, JSearch) based on your search criteria.
- Notifications — Send application reminders and updates via ntfy.sh (push), EmailJS (email), or Twilio (SMS) based on your preferences.
- Analytics — Understand how features are used to improve the product experience.
- Payment Processing — Process subscription payments through Stripe.
4. Data Storage and Security
- Cloud Storage — Your account data, job tracking data, resumes, and API keys are stored in Google Cloud Firestore with per-user document isolation. Each user can only access their own data.
- Local Storage — Preferences, cached settings, and temporary data are stored in your browser's localStorage for performance.
- Encryption — All data in transit is encrypted via HTTPS/TLS. Firestore data is encrypted at rest by Google Cloud.
- Payment Security — All payment processing is handled by Stripe. We never store your credit card number, CVV, or full card details on our servers.
- Authentication — User authentication is managed by Firebase Authentication with secure password hashing.
5. Third-Party Services
JobSynk integrates with the following third-party services. Each receives only the data necessary for its function:
- Firebase / Firestore (Google) — Authentication and data storage.
- Stripe — Payment processing. Receives your email and payment details.
- Google Gemini — AI text generation for cover letters, resume analysis, and career insights. Receives relevant text content you provide.
- Groq — AI text generation (alternative model). Receives relevant text content.
- Remotive, Arbeitnow, Adzuna, JSearch — Job listing search. Receive your search queries (job title, location, keywords).
- Hunter.io — Email finder for networking contacts. Receives name and company domain.
- Clearbit — Company enrichment data. Receives company domain.
- Abstract API — Email validation. Receives email addresses for verification.
- EmailJS — Email notifications. Receives your email address and notification content.
- ntfy.sh — Push notifications. Receives notification content.
- Twilio — SMS notifications. Receives your phone number and message content.
- BLS (Bureau of Labor Statistics) — Salary and labor market data. No personal data is sent.
- CareerOneStop — Career and occupation data. No personal data is sent.
6. Cookies and Local Storage
JobSynk does not use tracking cookies. We use your browser's localStorage to store:
- User preferences (theme, notification settings, dashboard layout).
- Cached data for performance (job search results, API responses).
- Session-related identifiers managed by Firebase Authentication.
No advertising trackers or third-party cookies are used.
7. Your Rights
You have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access — You can view all data associated with your account within the app.
- Delete — You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from your account settings, or by contacting us.
- Export — You can export your job tracking data as CSV files directly from the app.
- Data Portability — You can request a copy of all your stored data by contacting us.
- Correction — You can update your profile information at any time within the app.
8. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all associated data (profile, resumes, job tracking data, API keys) will be permanently removed from our systems within 30 days.
If you request data deletion without deleting your account, we will process your request within 30 days.
9. Children's Privacy
JobSynk is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we discover that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal, operational, or regulatory reasons. When we make significant changes, we will notify you through the app. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last revised.
